Leslie and I have done our fair share of traveling during our seven and a half years together. From our adventures in Europe to our road trip along the East Coast, we have made a lot of memories together on the road. However, it’s not always sunshine and rainbows traveling as a couple.

Travel can be stressful at times and being with your significant other 24/7 can lead to the occasional fight. In order to help other couples learn from our experiences, we decided to write a post with tips for traveling as a couple. But, you won’t find the advice here.

Instead it’s posted on Travel Dave, a travel blog run by Dave Brett. Dave is a digital nomad who as been backpacking since 2005 (he even took a gap year himself in 2008). Here is a preview of the tips we wrote:

  • Double the savings, double the fun
  • Share the workload
  • Learn to compromise
  • Push each other’s limits, but not each other’s buttons
  • Find some alone time
  • Forgive and Forget
